Thursday, November 4: Have detailed drawings of MCM completed and bill materials and analysis.

Monday, November 8: Begin manufacturing of three critical parts.

Friday, November 12: Have general full design and solid models completed.

Wednesday, November 24: Have all detailed drawings of manufactured parts complete and complete analysis and bill materials.

Stategy and Machine Concepts

Our stategy is to collect as many balls as possible in the slot, then focus on the table top balls. Our machine has a shovel arm that is lowered into the slot using a rack and pinion mechanism and then pushes the balls into the slot opening. To open the slot arm in our favor we will mount a ratcheting arm on the slot and hit it forward by running into it with our machine at the start of the round. Arfter the balls in the slot have been collected, the arm with the shovel is dropped into the slot allowing us to move freely about the table top. We will use a scooping arm to collect balls and put them in a bin, which once it is full, will be emptied into the appropriate funnel via a trap door in to bottom of the ball bin.
